Course Syllabus Course Description: An electric circuit is a mathematical model that approximates the behavior of an actual electrical system. Circuit Analysis: An Overview, Voltage, Current and the Basic Circuit Elements. Introduction to electrical networks. Component models, transient, and steady-state analysis. Techniques of Circuit Analysis

Course Syllabus Course Aim:
To introduce class participants to the basic concepts of circuit variable and basic circuit elements analysis as a fundamental tool in electrical and computer engineering. To introduce class participants to basic circuit analysis, design, and measurement of linear analog electrical systems important across engineering disciplines. To provide the students an opportunity to apply the knowledge of above material in a practical (Lab) experience

1. Circuit Variables and Circuit Elements Some Circuit Simplification Techniques. 3. Techniques of Circuit Analysis. 5. The Natural and Step Response of RL and RC Circuits. 6. Natural and Step Responses of RLC Circuits. 7. Sinusoidal Steady-State Analysis. 8. Introduction to the Laplace Transform. 9. The Laplace Transform in Circuit Analysis.

Course Syllabus Grading System:
Homework &Quizzes % Mid term Exam 31/10/ :00 -11: % Final Exam 26/12/ :00- 1: % Quizzes: Will be given in the discussion by the T.A Homework Homework assignments are to be returned on time. No excuses will be accepted for any delay. Office Hours Open-door policy, by appointment or as posted.
