1. Site Opening Hours Expo site - 09:00 ~ 23:00 (14 hrs.) Pavilions - 09:00 ~ 21:00 (12 hrs.) Commercial facilities and public service areas - 09:00 ~ 23:00 (14 hrs.) Expo site entrance - 5 entrances - AD Pass to be issued to Official Participants and staff

Operation of Security and Safety Center - Security, Fire and Maritime safety, AD Pass management, Access control, etc. Security check at the Expo site and Expo Town gates - Metal detectors and X-ray systems installed at all gates - AD Pass issued at Accreditation Pass Center - Compliance with the safety regulations Safety Management by Official Participants - Compliance with the safety regulations covering fire and visitor safety in the pavilions - Appointment of a Safety Officer and submission of a safety plan before pavilion construction - Security guards deployment

(Article 5 of Special Regulation No.8) - Workers’ Compensation Insurance, Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance, National Health Insurance - Comprehensive Liability Insurance, Property Insurance, Insurance for Exhibits and Fine arts, Insurance for Construction and Installation Other types of insurance (Article 13 of Special Regulation No.8) - Accident Insurance, Labor Accident Compensation Insurance, Automobile Comprehensive Insurance Insurance from official insurance sponsors or insurers approved by the Korean Government

7 5. Management of Volunteer Workers
Volunteer Recruitment - Availability: 13,000 volunteers - Application period: April ~ June, 2011 (3 months) Allocation of Assignment - Expo site, Expo Town, etc. - Guidance for visitors, maintenance of public order, access control, interpretation, administrative work, computing, etc. *Volunteers in the International Pavilion are responsible for the maintenance of order at the entrance

8 II. Transportation 1. Improvement of Accessibility and Transportation Plans Cars and Buses - Construction of Expressways - Seoul Yeosu: 5 hrs hrs. Airplane - Launch of a direct route from Japan and China to Yeosu - Increase in domestic flights between Seoul (Gimpo) and Yeosu/ Jeju and Yeosu - Temporary Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) complex Train - Installation of a double-track and electric railway - 3hrs. 7min. between Seoul (Yongsan) and Yeosu by KTX Ship - A cruise ship dock and a passenger terminal at the Expo site - Direct routes between Korea (Incheon, Busan, Jeju) and Hukuoka, Japan, and Shanghai, China

9 2. Access to the Expo Site Transit Parking Lot
- 6 parking lots within a 5km to 30km radius of the Expo site - Capacity for 31,300 cars and 600 buses Shuttle bus - Transit parking lot- Expo site (free) - Yeosu Airport- Expo site (with fee) City tour bus - City tour buses to run from the Expo site to tourist spots in and around Yeosu

10 3. Transportation in Downtown Yeosu
Up-to-date traffic information - Operation of the Expo Traffic Management Center in conjunction with the Yeosu ITS - Up-to-date traffic information Downtown parking lots - Utilization of public parking lots and schools to accommodate roughly 33,000 vehicles Public campaigns - “No Driving Day” on weekends, staggered work hours and prevention of idling, illegal parking and stopping during rush hours. - Encouragement of voluntary citizen participation

11 III. Accommodations 1. Accommodations for Expo Staff
Construction of the Expo Town for local and foreign Expo staff near the Expo site (10-min. walk) - 1,442-unit condominium complex with 4,744 rooms (3 to 5 rooms per unit) - Four types in size, including 107㎡, 128㎡, 149㎡, and 188㎡ - 149,000 won (107㎡) ~ 258,000 won (188㎡) a night 332 units (107㎡) reserved for 1,330 foreign staff members - Expo Town available in March 2012. - Alternative accommodations and shuttle buses to be provided for the official exhibitors who wish to move into Expo Town earlier (January ~ February, 2012)

12 2. Accommodations for Expo Visitors
Accommodation demand forecast - Estimated demand: 37,000 rooms per day during the Expo - Possible to meet the demand as 109,000 rooms available in the vicinity of the Expo site [within a two-hour drive] - Estimated average demand for 10,000 rooms in high-end accommodations per day during the Expo - Only 8,000 rooms available in the vicinity of the Expo site [within a two-hour drive] Construction of a high-end hotel for VIPs (282 rooms) - For local and foreign VIPs (BIE executives, Commissioners of Section, etc.)

13 Expansion of Accommodations for Visitors
- Construction of hotels and condominiums underway (5,900 rooms) - Designating motels and pensions with facilities and services above acceptable levels as designated lodging facilities (151 places designated initially) - Alternative and temporary accommodations - Utilization of various sleepover programs, such as temple stay, and farming and fishing village home stay programs Information service about tourism and lodging facilities - Information on tourism and accommodations provided in three languages by the Korea Tourism Organization Call Center (1330)
