Story – 100 pts
Project – 75 pts
Photos – 25 pts
Captions – 25 pts
Setup grade: Everything saved in the right place and hard copy of final and rough turned in to me – 25 pts
Saved on the YEARBOOK DRIVE, in the Journalism I folder, in a period folder, in folder with your name

3. Story – 100 pts 350-400 words (must fit space!!!)
Needs headline and subheadline
Focused on one aspect of one person
Rough and final turned in together
Follows following sets of rules:
10 rules of feature writing (PAST TENSE)
Chapter 3-5 Rad Write
Caught Ya rules

4. Photos – 25 pts
Need 3 candid photos saved digitally (1 megabyte min. please)
Candid = your person in action
Checkout of point and shoots is possible (see me after school)
At least one photo is yours!!!

5. Captions – 25 pts
Need minimum of two sentences per photo (some group captions may only fit two for dominant – other two can be just one)
First sentence is present tense and describes the action of photo
Second sentence (and others) give background information, quotes, etc.
Try not to start with the name
Example: In a game against Oviedo, guard Spencer Davis shoots a three point shot over the defender. Davis averaged 23 points per game…

6. Making everything right – 25 pts
Make sure the look of the layout and the sizes and type style of all of the words matches the original
If you need to check (or really messed up) open up a template from the Journalism I folder and copy and paste
Story = 10 pt Aparajita regular, flush left (align left), with 1p3 tabs
Caption Lead in = 10 pt Open Sans
Caption body = 8 pt Aparajita italic
Photo credit = 6 pt Aparajita italic (photo by)
Headline = Ostrich Sans, two colors
Subheadline = 14 pt Open Sans

7. PRINTING Go to File/Print
Choose the ONE page your project is on (2 = left, 3 = right)
Choose the COLOR printer
Under Setup, hoose ‘scale to fit’
PRINT!
