Objectives To raise attainment of Pupil Premium students with a particular focus on literacy in a bid for students to access the whole school curriculum Targeting the funding well from the outset with effective monitoring and evaluation of the impact of spending To tailor individual timetables through interventions for identified pupils who require additional support To provide and extend pastoral care of Tibshelf Community School To increase parental involvement of Pupil Premium parents To create strong transition links with Primary feeder Schools Place greater emphasis on the development of Looked After Children

Intervention Objective All Careers Aspiration for all school An actor/singer, potential spaceman and Clothing entrepreneur delivered empowering careers messages discussing their successes and experiences. Also a reformed drug addict and PC to speak with Y10/Y11 about dangers of addictive habits. Chesterfield and West Notts College also demonstrating further education opportunities and CITB presenting apprenticeships in the Construction industry. Y7 Visit to the University of Nottingham Visit to Sheffield Hallam University Better understanding of what a university is. Covering student life, university life, student finance and overview of HE Y8 Visit to University of Sheffield/Nottingham and Lincoln To increase awareness of university life tailored especially for the pupils whose families had never attended university. Y9 Visit to the University of Nottingham, New College Nottingham Loughborough, Vision West Notts, Chesterfield, and Derby College The Big Event Swanwick Visit to Chesterfield College Raising Higher Education as a serious future option - graduate employment, broader benefits, student finance. Encourage aspiration to university or higher level skills. Each student will go to a campus based on their option choices of Drama, Art, Business, Media, Sport and Product design where they will have sessions around their subject. An interactive theatre performance, motivational speakers and range of providers who will represent the different FE routes that are available. To increase awareness of further education life tailored especially for LAC. Y10 Visit to NTL training Chesterfield Extended Work Placement Pathways to STEM programme delivered by the University Of Nottingham Focus minds on planning for post-16 apprenticeships Opportunity to experience the world of work in a meaningful way, as an employee of a company The programmed is designed to showcase the wide range of opportunities available to students who stay on to study STEM subjects run by University of Nottingham academic staff and trained postgraduate students, with exciting interactive demonstrations and activities. Y11 Exam Wizard Visit to Cambridge University Work Experience Mock Interview Day Mansfield Law Courts GCSE and revision focus using student ambassadors Raise excitement about higher level careers in technology, IT, finance and business. A week working at a local business to assist in preparation for career/college choices 34 guest volunteers conducted a full day of interviews to highlight skills required to be successful in an interview. Witness some real-life criminal cases visiting the public galleries for students that have an interest in pursuing a career in law/the British legal system
