Outline: Review key questions from Mezzanine Analysis presentation
Analyze Lateral Loading Scenarios Hand rails material Reference Material Mezzanine Build Plan Outline

Next Steps/Questions:
Can the mezzanine be anchored into the supporting structure? YES Anchors would be placed into side walls (and potential back wall) to prevent lateral movement and offer stability If the mezzanine needs to be free standing: DOES NOT NEED TO BE FREESTANDING Knee Braces will need to be added to each post. This requires unique analysis. Sheathing would need to be added to the columns/post to restrict lateral movement. Although they are not very strong, an analysis needs to be conducted on Lateral Loads to our system. IN PROGRESS Fireproofing the structure may be a requirement from the city. PROPERTY MANAGER WAS NOT CONCERNED, ACTION TBD A permit may be required (city originally said no, but Subject Matter Experts think one will be needed). PROPERTY MANAGER WAS NOT CONCERNED, ACTION TBD If a permit is required, there is a chance this mezzanine analysis will need to be signed/stamped by a Professional Engineer. TBD

Build Plan Outline Macro Level – “Bottom Up, Back to Front” Detailed:
Measure foundation and walls to determine whether methods, such as shimming or concrete leveling, are needed to “square” facility Lay sill plate Cut columns (near walls only) to appropriate heights and install. Place column anchors Place supporting beam plate along columns Cut and install “ledger board” on back wall (anchoring to the as appropriate)

Build Plan Outline Detailed Continued:
Cut and install remaining beams. After (or possibly during) the placement of Beam C, begin installing columns supporting elevator opening Install joist hangers Cut and install joists Place any additional anchors that may be required Sheath the top of the mezzanine with plywood Install handrails (and possibly stairs)
