21st Century Workforce Disadvantages of E-Government
The lack of equality in online public access to the internet Reliability and validity of inter access on information shared the web Government groups that could influence and bias public opinion (NGO’S)/special interest groups Hyper-surveillance: Once the government begins to develop and become more sophisticated, the citizens will be forced to interact electronically with the government on a larger scale. Lack of privacy for civilians as their government obtains more and more information on them Cost: Capital investment in developing E-Government is huge and will most likely involve foreign capita. Government 2 Government enterprises always tricky to manage, control and predict. Inaccessibility: An E-Government site that provides web based access and support often does not offer the potential to reach many users including those who live in the rural areas, have low literacy levels and exist on poverty line incomes.
