4. Progress in the delivery of P.E
Every year the PE leaders evaluate PE and devise an action plan as to what needs to be achieved throughout the year to ensure the delivery of PE progresses. These are some of the action plan points.

5. Kitemark Award
In 2013/2014 we were proud to achieve the bronze Kitemark award for sport.
In 2014/2015 we were very proud to achieve the Silver Kitemark award for sport.
In 2015/2016 we aim to maintain the Silver award. The reason for not aiming for gold is due to the lack of facilities with the building work.

Staff received at least ½ a term of support from specialist coaches. Year 1 – Dance, Ball Skills Year 2 – Football, Gymnastics, Cricket, Rules of Games Year 3 – Hockey, Athletics, Games, Ball Skills Year 4 – Football, Hockey Year 5 – Basketball, Athletics, Football, Orienteering Year 6 – Football, Basketball, Tag Rugby Staff said that have they now feel a lot more confident teaching these particular sports.
To continue developing our staff with delivering P.E, this year they will have support from ‘Premier Sports’ (specialist coaches). Each teacher will get or have had 1 term’s support.

We have used some of the funding to create a club for children to practise, as a team, for a competition that may be coming up. This has helped our results to improve!

At the end of every term, every class in each phase competes against each other in a sporting event to find a phase winner. This ensures that all children partake in competitive sport at least 3 times a year and is also a lot of fun!

15. Sports Stars Challenges
As well as competing against themselves and the other children in the school, the Sports Stars are also competing against other children in local schools (the collegiate). The results are all sent to a central location and then an overall winner can be found from all schools.

March’s challenge – stay in the plank position for as long as you possibly can.
Ball Catch
April/May challenge – to throw and catch a tennis ball against a wall using only one hand. You must be 3m away and standing on one leg! You have 1 minute.
