Monochromator Redesign & improvement of the complete UHV cooling system, mechanical design…. New Aluminum UHV chamber to reduce Carbone contamination of the gratings The Monochromator is now fully operatinal within the required specifications: First monochromatic beam mid-May 2014

Status of XMCD-PEEM and HERMES Improving & combining the spatiale & temporal resolution BEAMLINE: Two main problems during the construction which induced 6 months delay. Benders KB Mirror Ultra-high precision bendable elliptical mirrors (nrad) and micro-sized beam. Late delivery due to technical limitations Design of two prototypes before the final version. Last equipment to be installed on the beamline The KB is now fully operatinal within the required specifications: The full beamline is now operational and ready for commissioning (May-July 2014).

X-PEEM Upgrades for time resolved measurement
Status of XMCD-PEEM and Magnetic HERMES X-PEEM Upgrades for time resolved measurement # Modification of the time resolved setup (Coll. I. Néel) to reach the requested spatial resolution in Pump-Probe mode: - New electronics and manipulator cabling - Two years PostDoc to be hired (July 2014: 50% M3D, 50% SOLEIL). - Implementation starts after static spatial resolution demonstration (Summer 2014). - The system will be first tested on the X-PEEM and then extended to the STXM # Redesign of new six-contacts manipulator, HF compatible # New high resolution XY-stage for X-PEEM Tomograpghy (5nm) # New Micro-coil magnetic sample holder for Pump-Probe Forseen First Semester 2015 for first M3D measurements:
