Each eye is mounted in a clear acrylic pyramid and positioned using the tension of two thin threads. The pyramid is filled with a gelatin solution, placed in a refrigerator, and allowed to harden. The pyramid simulates the shape of the ocular orbit. The set-up of the ballistic measurement apparatus is shown.
