Test Operations Management System (TOMS) will again be used in for: Interim Assessments Summative Assessments (Includes Alternate Assessment) CALPADS continues to be the sole source for student enrollment, demographic, and program participation data Schools CANNOT update student demographic data directly in TOMS Student-level accommodations and designated supports continue to be uploaded by the test coordinator

8 CALPADS to TOMS What is CALPADS sending to TOMS and when?
Weekly Updates: The School Information Branch (SIB) pulls information from MiSIS to send to CALPADS on a weekly basis Ensures that new students and demographic changes are in CALPADS to allow for interim and summative assessments NEW! CALPADS sends to TOMS enrollment record with most recent start date Concurrent Enrollments (CCEs) do not have to be resolved for a student to test (unless the later school/district enrolled the student in error)

44 Supports and Accommodations Recommended Seven-Step Process
Designate key staff for roles and responsibilities in test administration related to student accessibility. Provide information to parents and students early in the year; provide training to staff, as appropriate, for role in test administration. Identify students who will benefit from designated supports and will need accommodations per IEP and 504 plans. Assign designated supports and accommodations for all identified students who will require them. Upload designated supports and accommodations into TOMS. Perform a pre-administration check. At time of test administration, confirm student has assigned accessibility support.  REF-6420
