chemicalInventory chemicalInventory solution for any organisation, with build in LIMS like functionalities… Part 1 – Chemical Inventory functionalities.

CI – Chemical Inventory func.
Intro Search Check Out Check In Transfer Create, modify, delete Container (Adm.) Create and modify Compound (Adm.) MSDS and other external resources.. Additional information
3
CI - Intro Background information
The chemicalInventory, started out as a full functional chemical inventory solution. It has now further developed with a wide range of features to allow lab personal to become significantly more productive. It includes the ability to share data cross-organizational, including analysis results, creating and printing reports, samples, batches, containers and compounds.
4
CI – Intro 2 Background information
The application is a java powered tool, and allows for both textual and structure searches for compounds and containers. Easy installation and use is keywords for the application.
5
CI – functions (search)
Searching for compound and container data: following slides…. The data stored on a compound, is used for search. After searching a list of hits is displayed, and detailed information, about both compounds and containers is available at hand.
6
Use textual search to limit the result, displayed.
And Structure search can be performed, with this build in feature. This gives you the advantage, of enabling you to select from the entire inventory when choosing compounds for lab work e.g. synthesis
7
Detailed information for a selected compound
List of containers, which is instances of a compound. From this page you can perform check-in and check-out of containers that is a part of your group. Link to both internal and external online resources. These links can be modified from the Administration module.
8
CI – Check-Out / Check-In / Transfer
Check out a container, reserves the active container to the user. Used when borrowing a container from stock/lab. Check in a container when again returning it to stock/lab. Here the used quantity is entered and the new quantity for the container is stored. Transfer Container Another option is to transfer a container from one user to another.
11
CI – Create & Modify container
When creating or modifying containers, a list of information can be generated: quantity, tara-weight, owner, remark, group, location, number of containers… etc. The location of a container is its storage location in the stock. this is stored as a tree with 3 levels. level 1 = Building or room level 2 = room in level 1 building e.g. level 3 = shelve, refrigerator, freezer e.g. in level 2 location. After registration labels can be printed for the containers.
13
CI – Create / Modify Compound
Compounds are created to hold general information. A powerful structure drawing tool is implemented to allow drawing and storage of structural data in 2D and 3D. Both container and compound data is registered, and separately history for the tables/data is stored. This gives you an opportunity to track changes to data in the history module. Here all changes/modification, check-in and out of containers, transfer e.g. is stored. And can later be viewed in the history module.
16
CI – MSDS And Other resources
MSDS and other external resources can be made available form the result page. Other internal and external ressources can be created by users from the administration module. This icon opens a MSDS search page at an external supplier e.g. Sigma Aldrich. Information from the CI can be transferred to external pages e.g. CAS no. for MSDS search. This is an internal link to the page for creating a new container of the displayed compound.
17
CI – Additional Information
All information needed can be viewed, created and modified from CI without database query language knowledge i.e.. From the Administration module, information section and other resources, these information is accessible, and can created, modified and deleted. A great number of details is not included in this short presentation and must be experienced live. The following slides is a few additional screenshots from the application.
