TIPS FOR SUCCESS First: Get organized! Use an agenda, calendar, phone reminders and technology to plan ahead and stay on track. This will help you stay on course to achieve your goals and dreams. It will also prepare you for a real-life work setting in the future. Next: Talk to your teachers. Get to know them - so they get to know YOU. Then, when you have questions or are having difficulties in class you will feel more comfortable approaching them for help. Building a positive rapport with your teachers goes a long way!
5
TIPS FOR SUCCESS Then: Before you fall behind - find out what extra help is available. Teachers offer extra help before/after school depending on their schedules. MHS BETA Club currently offers FREE tutoring before school (M-F) in the Media Center at 8 AM. Last Resort: After you have tried all of the above (for a significant amount of time) sign up for a meeting with your assigned School Counselor in the School Counseling Office to discuss your concerns.
