2 DI SCORE 2/3 Central Challenge (A, B, C etc) 1/3 Instant Challenge

Team members can use techniques to help solve “challenges” in their daily lives Team members can use techniques to help solve “challenges” as adults Instill confidence in younger people

3 How Does IC work? A couple of weeks before the tournament you receive 2 times, an IC time and a Central Challenge time You go to the IC check in with just your team and ONE team manager. The challenge cannot be recorded or spoken about outside of your team until after global finals Team Number IC Time Challenge Time Rockin Robins 9:15 am 1:00 pm Jazzy Jets 10:45 am 8:00 am

4 How Does IC work The team will enter the room at their time and the appraisers and the challenge will be in the room. They will be read the challenge and will then complete it. They will spend about minutes in this room. When it is over they go to a “chill out” room where they can talk about the challenge among their team.

5 3 Types of Instant Challenges
Performance-Based: The focus is to create and perform a theatrically-oriented solution for the Appraisers. Teams may use words, language, conversations to solve the Challenge or the solution may be non-verbal. Task-Based: The focus is on the team working together to build, move, change, protect or communicate with provided materials in order to complete a task. Teams may or may not be allowed to talk during the Challenge. Hybrid of the two types is the most common instant challenge
