5 Verbal/ Oral communication
Defined as: sounds and language to relay a message, it serves as a vehicle for expressing desires, ideas and concepts and is vital to the processes of learning and teaching. Types: Interpersonal communication Exchange usually between two a sender and receiver involving both talking and listening Public Speaking One or more deliver a message to a group

Expresses Ideas in written words, symbols, grammar Types of written communication: Newspaper Letters Books Articles Reports Memos

8 Sender – receiver A person begins (the sender) translates observations into a Message (the information you want to get across) By Transmitting the message through some type of communication medium To another person (the receiver) The receiver must Interpret the message and provide feedback to the sender letting the sender know the message has been understood.
