Total number of HIV cases

HIV cases among 15-24 years old during the last five years
All cases 15 – 24 y. In the adult population around 0,1 and among gay men around 2 %. The only population in which hiv is circulating in the Finnish population an d large transmission clusters have been found.

Only very limited cases under 20 years old Injecting drug use, MSM, sex work… Mainly living in the capital area Study? Reaching by low threshold services targeted for vulnerable groups The population size – MSM? (men y %? under 24 y.) sex workers? Prevention Health education including sexual health at secondary school, high school and vocational school Low threshold services (testing, prevention…)for vulnerable populations: needle exchange, MSM, sex workers... “Summer rubber” : Finnish Red Cross and a radio channel, summer festivals, free condoms and a “summer rubber” campaign song A project raising awareness of HIV and TB among refugees and asylum refugee
