1 SUNDAY 19th February 2017 Fruitfulness on the Frontline
Lent is on the horizon, and starts on March 1st. Throughout Lent we will be following a course called 'Fruitfulness on the Frontline' on Sundays. It's about how we can serve God in our 'regular' lives. The course includes a DVD and small group material and housegroups will be invited to follow it. If you're not in a housegroup but would like to join a temporary group to study the course please get in touch with Simon by the 19th February. Resource Day THE Revd Sally Nelson, Baptist tutor at St Hild College, has shared news of a Resource Day on February 27th in Leeds. It is a day to share experience in church growth and community witness in Yorkshire and the wider region. And the seminar speakers include our very own, Hannah Dey, who along with Cas Stoodley will be leading a seminar on the subject of “Developing Children’s and Families Ministry”. The Revd James Chapman, lead minister at Cemetery Road Baptist Church, Sheffield, will be leading one of the reflection groups on “International Church.” he programme can be found at Baptist Assembly 2017 This year’s Baptist Assembly will be at the Harrogate International Centre on Saturday 13th May. Tickets are £30 for Adults and £10 for Youth. YBA are seeking volunteers to help with the event. Volunteers will gain free entry to the Assembly and a free lunch. After the break Mark Baxby will be speaking on Haggai as we continue our series on the minor prophets. Welcome to Chapel A THIS COMING WEEK Tuesdays at 11am in the church office - a short prayer meeting with the staff and whoever would like to pray for Chapel A. Housegroups generally meet on Monday, Tuesday and alternate Thursday evenings. Please see notice board in corridor. Tuesdays - Totally Tuesday for Years 5-7, pm in Chapel All. Methodist Hall. Wednesday – WOW youth group for Years 8+ in Chapel Allerton Methodist Hall. Please contact Hannah Dey on or about any of our usual groups for young people. Hvnly Hangout There will be no HVNLY in February, it will begin again in March. If you would like to know more then please speak to Mark Riches. Planning meeting to progress Winter Party Night Stainbeck are having a Winter Party Night on Saturday 25th February at 8pm.   This is a live music event with the group 'Limited Edition' who play country, bluegrass and 60 music.  Cost £10 (including Buffet - Bring your own drinks)  Proceeds are in support of Martin House Hospice and Stainbeck Church.  Tickets obtainable from Avril and Brian at please ring after 6pm.
