Health Panel – Students Present in groups of Three as a Health Care Professional
In your groups of three you need to research the health care worker assigned to your group. General Job description? Most seen illnesses or issues? What body system(s) work the most closely with?

Questions: Chiropractor
What does it mean when you say “ make an adjustment”? Why is exactly happening when you “pop” bones? Who does popping bones help with pain? Do adjustments work immediately or take a while? What degree did you have to have to become a chiropractor?

Questions: Nurse Practitioner in Dermatology
What things do you remove the most from people’s skin? Are there certain areas on the body that are more sensitive? Why? Do people take medication for skin protection? Other than remove skin cancer and moles when do you do? Is make good or bad for a person’s skin? Explain.

Questions: Physical Therapist
What is the most beneficial thing a person can do to help heal a broken bone? What are exercises that a person would do if they torn an arm muscle? What age groups do you mostly work with? Do you only work with athletes that have injured themselves, yes or no? If no, then what is your patient spectrum? Is there a difference between a physical therapist that works at a hospital and one that works in an office? Explain.

Why is an example of disease that cause someone to have obstruction in their breathing? Are infants’ lungs fully developed? What is asthma? Why does a person with asthma carry an inhaler? How does smoking effect the respiratory system? What are two genetic diseases that you work with? Please describe these diseases.

Do you practice keeping your hands steady? Is there a difference between children and adults brains? If so, in what ways? What are some different things that cause headaches? What is a seizure? And how do doctors treat seizures ( what does the meds do)? What role does the myelin sheath play in the nervous system? What is a disorder associated with myelin sheath?
