5. Types of Assessment Formative Summative
Assignments given throughout the unit to get a benchmark as to where a student stands at that point in time
Grade will be shown in Infinite Campus, however will not count towards calculation
Meant to provide students/parents/and teachers with information regarding progress towards the learning standard(s)
Assignment given to assess a student’s final learning in relation to the learning standard(s)
Grade will be shown in Infinite Campus and count towards calculation

6. Re-Do’s and Re-Takes Provided at teacher discretion
Students need to complete test corrections and have a completed packet prior to re-taking the assessment
Students must complete re-take within a set amount of time
Most recent grade will be used in grade calculation. Refer to the comments to view original score

Competitions help build their leadership, social & academic skills
The Business Dynamics students can join our DECA organization. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to work with upperclassmen on projects that will be presented at the regional, state and national level. Our students have done very well with these competitions in past years—it is so exciting to win!!
