Introduction Khuzestan Water and Power Authority (KWPA) is one of the most profitable and highest executive agencies in Iran. KWPA has been worked on the several main issues, including: an integrated management system; integrated water resources; hydroelectric power in the territory of the country. Implementation of dams and major irrigation and drainage network control, provides clean water for drinking purposes and the maximum energy industry economy through the construction of hydroelectric power plants and optimize utilization of existing power plants. Applied research management unit is an independent group of the sub-area at KWPA which is responsible for the development of research and technology in KWPA. Scopes In order to plan the activity upon research and technologies in the line with KWPA’s purposes, following topics are considered as necessary technologies based on the previous works that have been operated by the different groups at KWPA.
