3 1. Choose the first letter
To start, choose the first letter of your username, initials, or favorite word. Click this icon         to choose a new sprite:       Then select one of the letters in the Sprite library: Why are characters in Scratch called 'sprites'? We borrowed the word from the first video games. Tip: If you don't want the cat in your project, you can delete it using the scissors tool

4 2. Add Color Effects Make the letter change color whenever it's clicked. Build a script like this:       Now you can click your letter on the Stage to see its color change:

5 3. Add a Sound Click the SOUNDS tab to add a sound.
Select zoop or any other sound you choose. Then click the SCRIPTS tab to create something like this: Click on the letter to try it out.

6 4. Add a Backdrop Click the icon to open the backgrounds library.
Choose the backdrop you want.

7 . 5. Add Your Next Letter To add the second letter of your name, choose a new Sprite. You can draw a letter by selecting the brush icon.

8 6. Now Make it Spin Animate the second letter of your name.
Add sound by inserting it before the loop.

9 7. Finish Your Name Make letters grow and shrink like this:
Or glide when you click it like this: Experiment to see what other blocks do.

10 Select a Title for Your Project and click the Share Button!
