Kettering Health Network and Dayton Area Post Anesthesia Nurses Association Presents: 16th Annual “Change and Innovation in Peri-Anesthesia Nursing” Location: Miami Valley Hospital: Maxon Parlor Date: February 6, 2016 Registration and Continental Breakfast at 0800 with Speakers starting at 08:30 Goal: Provide continual learning opportunities and updates for peri-anesthesia nurses. Speakers: Dr. Julie Gilkeson MD- Fun With Fistulas Dr. Ehab Hussein DO, PharmD-Interventional Pulmonology Gail Martin BSN,RN-Neuromuscular Relaxation and Reversal in Post Operative Patients Objectives: Participants will be able to- Describe the difference between an AV fistula and an AV graft. Discuss the proper assessment and care of an AV fistula/graft. Discuss possible complication of an AV fistula/graft and the nursing care involved. Describe malignant and non-malignant airway procedures done in the OR Discuss the Pre and Post Anesthesia management of patients post interventional bronchoscopy CEU’S: 2.5 Nursing Contact Hours Will be awarded to participants who attend the entire session and complete the course evaluation Fee: Free for ASPAN members and student nurses. $15 registration fee for non-ASPAN members.
