2. Day 1 – Brand/Product Re-launch
Introduction to Brand Awareness/Brand Loyalty & Image/Packaging/ Product Design & Quality, USP, Primary & Secondary Market Research
Identify a UAE product/brand that needs help revitalising its image
Research innovative Logo’s, Brand’s, Packaging, Product features etc
Challenge of the day: Re-Launch – Each group will have to design a new product or new packaging
Required:

Creativity with Photoshop
Laptops/tablets with charger

3. Day 2 – Billboard or TV Commercial
Introduction to Media and Advertising
Create a Billboard or TV Commercial for the Product re-Launch
Research Innovative Advertising
Challenge of the day: Billboard or TV Commercial – Each group will have to design a new product or new packaging
Required:
Teamwork/Brainstorming
Creativity with Photoshop
Video Recording Skills
Laptops/tablets with charger

4. Day 3 – Market Stall
Fundamentals – understanding Costs, Production, Sales, Break-even and Profit
Challenge of the day: Set up and operate a market stall in the DIA Quad. Sell your product to classmates, teachers and parents. The team with the most profit wins.
Resources required:
Produce a product with limited materials e.g. Homemade Lemonade

5. Day 4 – Developing a Smartphone App
Training: Understanding Market Share, Innovation & Technology – user interface, monitisation etc
Development: Students will be shown how to make a basic app
Challenge of the day: Design the user interface of an app for iTunes and Android for a product or service of your choice to help a UAE business increase its market share

6. Day 5 – A New BUSINESS IDEA
Training: Contents of a Business Plan, Understanding why so many start-ups fail, Finance, Enterprise Planning & Strategy etc
Challenge of the day: Propose a new business idea – Product or Service The business idea should focus on the UAE Market
Each team will submit a business plan and present their new business idea to the Judges using PowerPoint/Prezi/Keynote etc

7. ACTIVITY DETAILS
Classrooms SS138, SS139 and SS140 will be used for the majority of the activities. All activities will take place within the grounds of DIA
