Problem: There are not enough qualified, prospective foster parents to meet the needs of foster youth. Additionally, DFCS has limited resources with 3 recruiters (in the field), responsible for 1,000,000 people in Santa Clara County and covering 1300 square miles. Solution: Leverage existing technology platforms, specifically LinkedIn, to reach a larger, more targeted, professional pool of potential foster parents.

14 LinkedIn Strategy STEP 1: Search for passive candidates using predictive analytics to create a more targeted approach for potential candidates STEP 2: Advertise Foster Parent Opportunities to candidates from search results STEP 3: Create and Manage Community Groups STEP 4: Promote Marketing Tools, such as Online Learning Forums

15 Next Steps DFCS Recruiters are being trained by a LinkedIn professional on how to use the platform effectively and efficiently Work with MIG, branding consultant for DFCS, to solidify messaging for recruitment Get approval from DFCS to test the strategy Implement strategy, evaluate results and track data
