Reconstruction of the stadium – multi-functional stadium: new tribunes, capacity up to 16000 2/3rds of the ground floor for NGO/Community based groups providing creative social solutions for the city (Community Centre - InoHUB) € 14 million

INICIATIVES FOR KAUNAS
„Initiatives for Kaunas“ is a program for local NGO‘s, developed by Kaunas Municipality to select the most innovative, interesting and relevant projects, which contribute to the strategic objectives of Kaunas City. Areas of funding: Cultural and artistic activities. Strengthening the image of the city. Promotion of healthy lifestiles. Strenthening of NGO‘s and local community. Improving the quality of social services. Sports. Over 530 applications were submitted in 2016. 374 projects for € were funded and are currently being implemented.

INTERWAR MODERNIST ARCHITECTURE
In 2014 m. European Commission granted the European Heritage Label for Kaunas Interwar Modernist Architecture. As of 2015 Kaunas is designated UNESCO City of Design. On the way for UNESCO.
