SPS, India is an apex body of polymer researchers in India. The aim and objective of SPS is to promote the general advancement of science and technology of polymers in the country, and to provide a forum for exchange of information amongst polymer researchers in India. SPS (I) operates through eight regional chapters. The chapters organize seminars, conferences and workshops on scientific and technological problems in polymer science. SPS Pune chapter was founded in July 1990 and has been very active with nearly 250 life members drawn from research institutes/organizations and universities in the vicinity.
