Write down the names of the characters who we have met so far. Challenge: Give each character an epithet (for example, Miss Stubbs the magnificent, Mrs Stephens the brave.) The epithet MUST link to the characteristics of that person, remember!

Words that sound like sounds. Comparing something to something else using ‘like’ or ‘as’. Describing an object using human features. Challenge: write an example of each device!
