A Specific Request Intro Jn. 3:14-15 14. "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; 15. so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. Jn. 12:32 32. "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself." All men have been bitten by the viper of sin, and the only cure is to look in obedient faith to the cross of Calvary where the Son of God died and shed His blood for our sins! Intro A Specific Request II Cor. 5:14-17 14. For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; 15. and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. 16. Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. 17. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Emphasis in Scripture mine! In Christ… Prepared by Nathan L Morrison /

A Specific Request In Christ: Happiness In Life II Cor. 5:17: If in Christ, one is a “new creature, the old things passed away” How does one get “into Christ” to become a “new creature?” Gal. 3:27 27. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. Rom. 6:3-7 Baptism crucifies the “old self” with Christ, so that one comes up out of the waters of baptism to “walk in newness of life.” Emphasis in Scripture mine! A Specific Request In Christ: Happiness In Life Many teach that “faith only” or “repentance” is all that is needed to put a sinner into Christ If so, why didn’t Paul say: “For all of you who believed into Christ,” or “For all of you who repented into Christ?” In Christ… Prepared by Nathan L Morrison /
