What is fire used for? How was fire discovered? Who discovered matches? When were matches invented? What is phosphorus?

3 Who Discovered Fire? We think that fire was discovered by a caveman. But nobody’s sure what the caveman was called. [If cavemen really found out what fire is and how to make it].

4 When Was Fire Discovered?
Fire was discovered somewhere back in the stone ages. We’re unsure but, we think it was found in 770,000 BC.

5 What Is Fire Used for ? Fire is used for : cooking ,heating, metalwork, trains (in the olden days) , torches to make light and many more things.

6 How was fire discovered?
There are three theories on “How fire was discovered.” Theorie 1= Rubbing rocks together. Theorie 2= Rubbing sticks together. Theorie 3= A lightning striked on a tree.

7 Who discovered matches?
John Walker invented matches. He comes from England.

8 When were matches invented?
The first matches were sold April They were invented in England but, we don’t know where in England.

9 What is phosphorus? Phosphorus is a type of chemical. Humans have phosphorus in bones and teeth, fireworks and explosives, toothpaste, fertiliser. In the enviroment phosphorus is commonly found in water soil & sediment also animals and plants. Red phosphorus is in non-safety match heads. Phosphorus = poisonous
