7. Because I’m starving to death!
In 2015 about 7 billion people
lived on Earth. Now in 2045
the world population has
increased by 2 billion! Of
course all these people need to
eat. However, with this big
population increase more food
is needed. This is not
as easy as you might think.
Because of the big population
a lot of houses are needed
which take away the space
normally used for
agriculture.
Mmh. I had actually expected something completely different from future!
Uhm, no. Why?
Mmh. I think I know what is wrong.
Because I’m starving to death!
Hey stranger! Do you have any food for me?
Food!

11. Maybe I can already solve the problem. Let’s summarize the problem!
More people need:
More space and more food.
This means that I am
actually searching for an
efficient way of growing
plants without taking as
much space as normally.
In the future there will
probably be a lot of flats with
a big vertical surface area
which you can use to grow
plants on. I could make a
hanger where you can grow
your own food in!
Maybe I can already solve the problem. Let’s summarize the problem!
I have an idea!

12. I will make a plant hanger which you can easily hang
on a brick wall. It will solve 2 problems:
More people need more food which can be grown in
plant hangers.
It will take less space than agriculture in a field
because it is on walls and can be done in great
heights.
The hanger will be made with bioplastic. This saves a
lot of materials.

13. The bucket is going to
hang on great heights
with strong winds.
This is why I made it
aerodynamic.
