Our vocation is what God calls us to do
Can be based on our likes, talents, and what is needed in God’s Kingdom
All of us are called to Holiness

As young people, we are told to know what we want to do at young ages.
It is ok to not know
Through prayer and going to church, we learn our vocation

Some vocations are The Hierarchy, the laity, or the consecrated life
There are many ways to serve in the Kingdom of God
Some people sing in the choir, some preach, others have extreme compassion.

They consecrate their lives to serve God and the Church as members of a religious community
They serve in parishes, schools, universities, hospitals and as missionaries.

Poverty- live with no distractions
Chasity- live with celibacy
Obedience- commit themselves to the will of God and what he wants for their lives

Married people- show God’s love through their love for each other
Single people- show love of God through friendships
Lay ecclesial ministers- people who serve the Church full time

13. We are called and chosen at any age.
A seed of faith is planted in us at a young age
As we grow, we build this faith and increase our knowledge of God and his word
God has used young people for his works.
Samuel was given a word as a boy (1 Samuel 3)
Mary was chosen to be the Mother of God at a young age (Luke 1:26-38)

Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.
