6 2.- Research Project Decommissioning Use of the BIM Model
The 3D BIM Model contents all the Information associated to all the different elements of the Nuclear Power Plant. This Information (weight, radiological contamination, codification, room or location of the element, etc.) helps the planning process identifying the resources and reducing the interferences between tasks. It also helps making more efficient the waste management and reducing the contamination risks.
