TAGME Certification Process

Criteria for initial certification
2 years of on-the-job experience in the same clinical specialty 15 hours of Education Credits in 3 years. All EC’s must be from topics related to GME and/or professional development experiences Attendance at National, Regional and State Meetings Institutional/Program Retreats Webinars and on-line modules Routine committees/work are NOT acceptable

2017 Certification Cycle: - Nov 2016-Feb 2017: Applications available from TAGME Website - Jan 1, 2017-Feb 28, 2017: Complete and submit application to TAGME - April 15, 2017-May 15, 2017: Complete Qualifying Assessment (QA) - Mid-June 2017-Aug 31, 2017: Assuming success on QA, completed Certifying Assessment (CA)

Certification assessment tools are composed of two separate parts: Qualifying Assessment (QA) (formerly “MAT”) Certifying Assessment (CA) (formerly “WET”)

Timed, monitored assessment (currently 3.5 hours) Open-book - Resource documents Matching, Multiple Choice Successful completion is 80% overall

Certifying Assessment (CA)
Sent to you via upon passing QA Assesses applied knowledge 2 month window for completion Completed CA to be returned to TAGME via Successful completion is 80% or better
