Project Overview Project goal: reduce costs, improve service, position for the future Meters: 1.3 million single phase and 3 phase Uses: billing, call center, special reads, etc. Secure hourly interval, daily demand data for 100% of the customers Roles: PPL: customer, field installation, IT integration PLC Vendor: 1.3 million 1 and 3 phase meters Wireless vendor: 6,000 highest revenue custs.

Billing Reads reduced estimate bills: 99.6% read success reduced calls to call center reduced billing memos Special Reads used to final bill customers and supply initial read for new customer avoids trip to the field
