Fig. 1 (A) Logical inference for virus presence in PCa: at the 2010 Meeting on Muscle Fatigue, we presented a logical inference analysis of the different steps involved in “Silverman journey” toward identification of the HPC-1 locus. Among all different steps, the one with highest likelihood of an error was the viro-chip detection of XMRV. (B) Time-line Of XMRV discovery and dismissal: the most relevant findings are reported in a “time-line” representation for both XMRV discovery and its dismissal after further experimentations.
