Unitary Government – How does it work?
A unitary government is what Britain was during the American Revolution; It was a nation united under control of one rule. There were no separate states or sections creating their own laws or taxes, just the rule of the government over the entire population.

Confederation Government
When a group of people or nations form an alliance, it is called a confederation, allowing each member to govern itself but agreeing to work together for common causes. Perhaps the best-known confederation was the South during the U.S. Civil War.

Autocracy Government An autocracy is a form of government in which the political power is held by a single individual. Today it is usually seen as synonymous with despot, tyrant and/or dictator, though each of these terms originally had a separate and distinct meaning (see their respective articles).

Oligarchic Government
Oligarchy means the rule of the few, and those few are generally the people who are richer and more powerful than the others Usually the way an oligarchy works is that there is a group of people who are in charge, somehow. Sometimes they may be elected, and sometimes they are born into their position, and at other times you might have to have a certain amount of money or land in order to be in the council.

Constitutional Monarchy
A country having constitutional monarchy will have a constitution governing the land and its people, guiding legislation or lawmaking and also ensuring liberty, equality. The country will also have a king or queen, mostly both

Parliamentary Democracy
Consist of a president, a prime minister, a cabinet and a house of assembly. The president has few powers; the prime minister wields the most power. The cabinet is appointed by the president on the advice of the prime minister.

A federal republic is a state which is both a federation and a republic. A federation is a state composed of a number of self-governing regions (often themselves referred to as 'states') united by a central, federal government. Such as Mexico and Brazil

Examples Three states explicitly describe themselves as federal republics. These are the Federal Republic of Germany, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. A close variant is the term federative republic, which appears in the full official title of Brazil. Not every federation is also a republic. For example, Canada, Australia, and Malaysia are federal constitutional monarchies with parliamentary systems.

Dictatorships A dictatorship is a form of government in which a person or a small group rules with almost unlimited power. The ruler of a dictatorship is called a dictator. Absolute monarchs (kings) are another type of ruler with unlimited power. But monarchs usually inherit their position. By contrast, dictators take power by force or by misleading the people. Cuba
