Sudanese Civil Wars The first civil war from 1955 to 1972 was between the Sudanese government and southern rebels who demanded greater autonomy for southern Sudan. The second civil war erupted in 1983 due to longstanding issues heightened by [the President’s] decision to introduce Sharia Law.

Sorghum, a cereal grain, is the fifth most important cereal crop in the world, largely because of its natural drought tolerance and versatility as food, feed and fuel. Honeyguides love to eat energy-rich wax, and to obtain it they guide human honey-hunters to bees' nests. Unlike honeyguides, humans can use fire to subdue the bees and tools to open the nest.
