²NASA²US FISH & WILDLIFE SERVICE PARTNERSHIP Communicating Climate Change Professional Development Workshops NASA Scientists provide climate science content. NASA Education and Outreach staff provide NASA educational materials. Workshops include visit to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (MD). Jan 2009 and Feb 2010 held at NPS Mather Training Center (WV). Sept 2011 at USFWS National Conservation Training Center (WV). Results: Over 2,574,544 people reached with Climate Change information Olympic National Park - Snowshoe Walk and Yosemite - Valley Floor Tour explain effects of climate change on snowpack and water supply to visitors at these Parks. WebRanger Climate Change Activity Investigating Global Connections for grade school level. Over 90,000 registered WebRangers. FWS Electronic Newsletters on climate change. Total reach 19,000. Arctic National Wildlife Refuge - Series of Five Exhibits (under development) and a Flyer (produced) on climate change impacts. Crissy Field, Golden Gate NRA - Outdoor Exhibit depicts predicted sea level rise, received front page coverage in San Francisco Chronicle. Climate Podcast Series - Five parks have teamed to create a series of podcasts; more are under development. Highlights from the Field: The Earth to Sky partnership enables informal educators to access and use relevant NASA science, data, and educational products in their work. It is co-lead by NASA Landsat Education and Outreach, NPS, USFWS and Univ. of CA Berkeley, and is grant-funded by NASA’s Science Mission Directorate. Anita Davis
