1 Annistown Kindergarten News
September 2017 Dear Families,  We are continuing to learn and grow in kindergarten! Thanks for all you have done to help your scholar already this year! There are many things you can do to help your kindergartener do his best in school. One great way to help is to read with him or her each night. Also be sure to practice sight words, letters (if your student does not know all of them yet) and counting. Soon we will be meeting to talk about your student’s progress. The week of September 25th is Parent Teacher Conference Week. Look for information coming home soon about how to sign up to meet with your child’s teacher! We can not wait to tell you more about all your scholar is learning! Our school book fair is coming up! From September 8th to 15th the Book Fair will be held in our Media Center. If you would like to volunteer to help at the Book Fair please contact our Media Specialist, Ms. Pridgen, here at the school. Speaking of books, we will have a “book swap” each Wednesday morning at school. Your kindergartener can bring books he or she no longer wants and trade them for another gently used book to bring home!    Don’t’ forget FRIDAY is ice cream day! If you would like to order ice cream for your student, please send $1.00 on Friday. Also, breakfast is served each day in our Cafeteria. If you would like your student to eat breakfast before coming to class, please help us get our learning started on time by making sure your student is at school early enough to eat and be in class when the bell rings at 8:50. Thank you for all you do!
