Training Objectives To initiate and develop quality, customer-driven educational programs that increase capabilities and skill levels To improve tax collection and property appraisal equity by providing education to county officials and their employees

Authority 195.002 Supervision by Department of Revenue.—
(1) The Department of Revenue shall have general supervision of the assessment and valuation of property so that all property will be placed on the tax rolls and shall be valued according to its just valuation, as required by the constitution. It shall also have supervision over tax collection and all other aspects of the administration of such taxes. The supervision of the department shall consist primarily of aiding and assisting county officers in the assessing and collection functions, with particular emphasis on the more technical aspects. In this regard, the department shall conduct schools to upgrade assessment skills of both state and local assessment personnel.

Property Appraisal Designations (CFA and CFE) 120 hours of approved coursework International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) Required – IAAO 101 and 102 (or a pre- approved substitute) Two additional IAAO 30-hour tested courses IAAO 101, 102, 112, 201, 300, 311, 312, 331, 332, 333, 400, 402, 500, 600, 601

FDHSMV Driver License Training Series Phase I, II, III AAMVA Fraudulent Document Recognition Series Commercial Driver License Series CPM Levels 1 through 7 Non-DOR courses approved toward the CFC and CFCA FDHSMV AAMVA CPM

Course Offerings Classroom Three offerings per year 30 hours each

Designation Qualifications
At least two years of full-time experience with a Florida county property appraiser office, Florida county tax collector office, or the Florida Department of Revenue Classes may be taken at any time.

Designation Date Certification date is the first day of the month following the date the last educational or experience requirement was met. CFE CFA CFCA CFC February 1, 2017 1st day of next month
