Why study this subject? Advanced Mathematics is intended for students who have found Year 9 Maths quite straightforward, and who intend to keep open the option of completing Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics in Years 11 and 12. Following this pathway keeps open all tertiary and career options in relation to Mathematics. This pathway allows for the ATAR scale-up potential of Specialist Mathematics in Year 12. Access to this pathway is subject to recommendation by your Year 9 Maths teacher.
