2. Course (Module) and Instructors
LAW4004 Contract Law
It is a course (equivalent to “module” in the English university system) offered by the University of Exeter School of Law.
Students enrolled in the Course will be officially registered for the Engineering and Pre-law Program at the University of Exeter, and be a student of it.

3. Course Delivery Overall Course Period 12 June – 2 August 2017
A total of 300 hours of work is expected of students.

Revision period: 22 July to 1 Aug – no new materials will be taught. (Tentative dates, subject to professor’s confirmation in 1st lecture)

7. Assessment Formative Assessment Summative Assessment
Feedback to discussion/seminar, mini-tests during the course
Mock Exam at the end of 1st half of the course
Mock Exam does not count towards final mark but must be attempted
More problem questions will be posed for students to discuss and answer in 2nd part of the Course

Final mark is based on grading system of University of Exeter.
Students must participate in all assessment components mentioned above!

9. What do students receive upon course completion?
What is issued to students upon completion of the course?
Upon completion of the Contract Law Course, the University of Exeter will issue a transcript to each enrolled student.
No HKUST transcript will be issued as it is not an HKUST course.
The Contract Law Course will not appear on the HKUST transcript either.
Title of Course and credits awarded (30 CATS) will be specified on transcript. 

10. Credit Transfer How does the credit transfer work?
The Course can be transferred to HKUST as equivalent to ENGG2201.
The number of credits to be transferred depends on the number of credits designated to ENGG2201, i.e. six (6) HKUST credits. 
Mark awarded to students for the Course will not be transferred to HKUST, thus there is no impact on students’ CGA at HKUST.
For engineering programs – the Course does not map into any degree requirement in the engineering programs except the 120-credit requirement for all UG programs at HKUST.
For non-engineering programs and minor programs – please consult the Department administering the major/minor program concerned.

11. What next? What actions are required of you from now?
Your registration details will be passed to U of Exeter for entry into their system within this week.
You’ll receive a welcome from U of Exeter, probably within next week.
Must activate your IT Account at the U of Exeter by following the instructions given in that .
IT Account activation must be completed by 18 June.
Account will remain valid till 31st August, i.e. end date of the Engineering and Pre-Law Program.
