What is Digital Book Talk?
is a review of a book by one person. It should be short and exciting and should have a cliff hanger. Its purpose is to sell the book. It is not a full summary. Book Trailer- very short, action packed video shown to entice the person to read the book. It has a plot but does not give away ending.

Pros/Cons Grabs readers attention Exposes them to different genres
Exposed to different demographics and may relate to that Can be used in classroom and media center-especially GT Help you meet standards Helps children practice summarization and identifying elements of the story. Some tend to be commercial like and produced by author or publisher with the intent to sell the book not to entice the person to read the book If children do book talks-some of them do not like to talk on camera Book trailers want to persuade you to read the book-book talks want to excite you about books Some believe it to be a video recording just reading the book-not all used correctly Not many people can create a book trailer the way it should be made-low budget
