CO2 Laser Coder Change the Lens Bjoern Wagner 2016
1
Check the focal distance of the lens
Best way to check which Lens is installed - take it out and check if black lines are sharp when keeping the lens under light
2
Change the lens
3
Phase 1 – Material Needed
For the Lens replacement, it’s needed: Lens with adaptor Lens Extraction Tool
4
Phase 2 – Put the laser in a safe place
Turn off the laser and put it over the table
5
Phase 3 – Remove the lens cover
Remove the lens cover pulling gently
6
Phase 4 – Remove the lens Put the Lens Extraction Tool on the slots of the lens and rotate it in a counter clockwise
7
Phase 5 – Replace the lens
Replace the lens placing it in the lens holder
8
Phase 6 – Screw the lens into the lens holder
Using the Lens Extraction Tool, turn the lens in clockwise direction
9
Check Dimensions Place a sample-card in focal distance to the laser (100-Lens: 160mm ; 60-Lens: 100mm) and check the dimensions
10
Check Dimensions Open Laser menu Set the focal distance Connect laser
Test Dimension
11
Check Dimensions The Field has to be a square. Each side of the outer field has to be 100mm if you have the 100x100 lens or 60mm if you have the 60x60 lens.
12
Field Correction Take the paper printed with the test and use a rule to measure the squares: 1- If the size of the square does not match with the one you need, increase / decrease value in Gain X/Y, depending on the axis you want to adjust. 2- To correct the divergence of the marking and have the lines of the square completely parallel, you should modify the values on Lens Correction X/Y
13
Field Correction Take the paper printed with the test and use a rule to measure the squares: 1- If the square looks like a trapezoid, change the values on Kx/Ky settings
14
Field correction Lens correction X and Y Correction of Kx and Ky
Move in X Direction Correction of Kx and Ky
