4. UL SMR
The reasons

5. It is proposed to change move the cores of 4 m toward the LHC arc .
Proposed change
It is proposed to change move the cores of 4 m toward the LHC arc .
This impacts civil engineering, cable routing path and the QXL path.
Impact on the LHC infrastructure removal. (This impact is there as soon as we move of 1 m)
WP6a estimate that 4 m are enough to cover all possible future needs
In addition the UL of the left side is moved of other 2 m (not the cores only the UL) to make fully symmetric the QXL installation around the IP

6. What is asked today?
As SMB would like to move ahead on sound basis for the discussions with the consultant.
They ask the release of this necessary change in order to proceed
If the approval is granted we will modify the SMR into ECR and we will proceed for its formal approval
