City & Guilds has worked with industry to understand what additional attitudes and competencies are important and how to recognise them.
By using the Mozilla Open Badge framework TechBac® rewards learners who demonstrate these “work ready” characteristics in the form of digital badges.
These badges can be easily transported and shared via social media or collected into the Learners CV. +

TechBac® SKILLS ZONE provides a variety of learning solutions – E-Learning, Mentoring and Challenges.
Within the Skills Portal system, the Tutor awards the Learner their Open Badges for the 7 master skill areas. They do this by using the predefined Skills Criteria as set out by City & Guilds.
The Skills Zone combines these Open badge awards with the learner’s activity data from the other ecosystem platforms to create an Online CV.
The Learner can then add their own information and endorsements to their CV.
