Resources for Families
Logging into the EGUSD ClassLink Portal for Students Open a web browser, and type Click Sign In with EGUSD/Google Username, i.e. and the EGUSD computer password for the Student. Click the Wonders or the Think Central Button. Students will need to sign into Think Central with the same username and the password, “school”

Leadership & 7 Habits As a site, the majority of our staff has gone through the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People two-day training. We are working to become a Lighthouse Leader In Me school, meaning, we teach and practice the seven habits to help promote effective attainment of goals by aligning ourselves with principles of character. The first three habits focus on independence, self mastery, and habits four through six focus on interdependence, working with others. The final habit focuses on continuous improvement.

Purpose of ELAC To provide parents of English Learners (EL) opportunities to: Provide advice to the principal and school staff to improve learning for EL Learn more about the programs offered to their students and to be aware of the importance of regular school attendance Have equal opportunity to be a part of the school Voice their concerns Participate in the school-wide assessment of the needs of students, parents, and teachers Assist with the administration of the school language census

Legal Requirements Each ELAC must hold an election
Whenever 21 or more English Learners are enrolled at a school site, the site must have a functioning ELAC on programs and service for English Learners Each ELAC must hold an election At least one member of the ELAC must attend the District English Learners Advisory Committee (DELAC) Must receive annual training in carrying out legal responsibilities

ELAC Composition Parents of English Learners
At minimum in the same percentage, as there are EL in the school Principal or Vice Principal, teachers of EL, and EL Coordinator Bilingual Teaching Associates

ELAC Elections Must provide the parents/guardians of all English Learners the opportunity to vote When the voting occurs is determined by your site bylaws The parents/guardians elect the parent members of the committee Election process is determined by your site bylaws MTES ELAC Committee Chairperson Vice Chairperson DELAC Representative(s)
