A pronoun replaces a noun in a sentence.
The direct object receives the action of the verb in a sentence. It answers whom? or what? about the verb. It can be a noun or pronoun. For example: Anne admires Superman Anne admires him. Anne admires whom? Superman! Whom? Him. Superman is the direct object Him is the DO. She eats a pizza She eats it. She eats what? Pizza! What? It. Pizza is the direct object. It is the DO.

Ejemplo *Nota especial*
If there are two verbs in the sentence, the DO pronouns may go before (antes) the conjugated verb as you just learned, OR it may be attached to the infinitive…after the 2nd verb (después). Ejemplo Quiero comprar la camisa roja. La quiero comprar. Or Quiero comprarla.
