START Top Class  4: A musical journey exploring The Gingerbread Man Key skills: listening, performing and composing Week 1: Sing baking and gingerbread songs tapping or clapping a beat. Sing known songs with ‘5’ in. Week 2: Explore changing the speed of sounds by singing songs and playing patterns at different tempos. Week 4: Create pieces of music about the story and talk about them. Week 3: Identify the sounds of percussion instruments. Start to choose appropriate sounds to describe a part of the story. Week 5: Practice own song for the Christmas play and add a beat. Week 6: Perfect own class song for the Christmas play and play associated patterns. WELL DONE – you have reached the journey’s end! FINISH
