April 11-18 Write about the creation of this creature.
You might know what this is – it is probably the best known ‘build your own monster’ story! If you don’t recognize him… make it up!

Make a Creature Use any resources you can have or you can find to be as a guide, design your own mythical creature. Write a mythical story in which this monster features. It must contain at least 6 characteristics of other mythical creatures. Example: multiple heads, fur, shape shifting abilities, etc.

Make a Creature Build your creature 100 pts 3 dimensional
Each of the 6 characteristics must be apparent in the model or the accompanying story. Any materials you want Use found/recycled materials when possible. Create a story (myth) to go with your creature ( words). 100 pts Model and hard copy of story Due in class on April 18. Also submit story with a hard copy.

April 5th Clear your desk of everything except your creature and your printed story. Prepare a 1-minute introduction to your creature that demonstrates all 6 of its characteristics.

Gallery walk View the creatures up close (treat them gently!)
Read the stories for the creatures you are most interested in (at least 4). This might be a shared experience! Leave post-it note comments for at least 4 of the creatures
