Who? Ten adventurers from CO as part of a Pathfinder Gold Missions Trip organized by the Rocky Mountain District Royal Rangers. Mexico Indian missions coordinator Nicki Cruz. In-country missionary & guide Nicky Rider. Missionary Pastor Mario & family. Jaymes Rock, Joe Rock, Larry Kissler, David Holden, Jonathan Holden James Holden, Darrin Thomas, Arden Harms, Randy Miller, Jim Bonds

What? Construction project and witnessing to the native Mexicans and Tarahumara Indians

Arriving at Huizuchi on Sunday afternoon, we set up camp and surveyed the work to be done.

We spent the next three days first setting and pouring the footer…

laying cement block…

backfilling and leveling the dirt…

and then pouring the cement floor.

We went until we exhausted the materials
… and us.

While there, we had the privilege of joining the natives in a worship service where they, with us trying, would sing each song first in Tarahumaran and then in Spanish.

Then on Thursday we packed up all of our equipment and began the return trip. We had to pull the vans up one hill on the way out due to the rain that occurred while we were there. We arrived safely back in Pueblo on Saturday, May 23rd.
